Redefining the Diner

Standard

One of my favorite places to eat is an old-school, All-American Diner.  Maybe it’s because of these guys:

But probably not.  It’s more likely the cozy atmosphere, the “anything you can imagine” menus overflowing with options, and the ability to order breakfast anytime.

Today’s link is an article from The Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch website on redefining the American diner.  Local DC-area chain “The Silver Diner” is featured as a great re-invention of the 50s-style diner by staying true to the original diner concept versus some of the more upscale options out there.

If anyone can suggest a GREAT diner between Baltimore and Washington, I’d love to hear it.  (And even better, won’t someone PLEASE open up a great diner in Howard County, MD.  Maybe HowChow has an idea?)
